these trucks actually solve a problem, and have a specific use!

Surfskate truck for a longboard that does not suck and is not jacked so high you feel like you are on top of a building. Sign me up!

Lets get the weird mechanics out of the way. The wheels turn not the hanger. They are built like a car steering system, and it is actually genius. Just google videos of people skating them, or go to the and watch the videos they have there.

What does this solve?
To make a surfskate truck turn, and be fun, the trucks have to swing or turn a crazy amount. Using traditional skate trucks, this means lots of risers or create a double kingpin system like Gullwing Sidewinders. This makes the skateboard crazy tall, and is super awkward, especially for new skaters. And then brands like Carver are putting these trucks on short boards with short wheelbases. It is ok if you are skating in the skatepark but what if you are cruising at the beach or doing long distance skate. The only brand doing longboard surfskate is Sector 9 with their Sidewinder trucks. They use a drop thru board to reduce the height but it is still taller than a normal longboard.

This is where Type Zero truck excels. It uses a link steering system, so you can mount them on a top mount or a drop thru and the trucks are low, but you still get that beautiful surfskate feel, on a longboard, and low to the ground.
