Melamine is a hard plastic that can crack if dropped and hit, at the first sign of cracks replace the product. The product is manufactured in a very fine factory which is certified by BSCI for good and safe working conditions. The factory is certified according to the quality management system ISO 9001 to ensure good handling of products to be used with food. Tove Jansson (1914-2001) was born in a real artist's home and learned to draw almost before she learned to walk. In 1918, in the midst of a raging civil war, her father wrote home from the front "Perhaps Tove will one day become a real artist. Maybe a really big one!” Tove Jansson is loved all over the world for her Moomin books and is known as an illustrator, artist and writer. In addition to her own books, she also illustrated e.g. JRR Tolkien's Bilbo and Lewis Carroll's Alice in Wonderland. Tove Jansson has been awarded a number of fine awards for her creation.
